From 'wash & go', two strand twists and flat twists and bantu knots, to interlocking and sisterlocks, ethnic hair can be twisted, twirled, shaped and sculpted into countless creative hairstyles. It only takes creativity and patience.
If you are a free-spirited person like myself, you will always find yourself with the dilemma of choosing which hairstyle to wear, and you find yourself constantly fighting the urge to change your hairstyle as soon as you get bored with wearing it. A word of caution though! Over-manipulation of hair leads to breakage, so if you are a length chaser, find the right style for your hair and stick to it.
This doesn't mean, however, that you cannot wear one style differently. For example, you could choose two-strand twists as your main 'protective style' and still style the twists by curling them around flex-rods, perm rods or even curl-formers. Another option would be to roll, pin and tuck them, or make bantu knots from them. The possibilities are endless.
Here are some of my collections. All the hairstyles below are done by myself. The pictures and copyright of the pictures belong to me. If you'd like to download and or use any of my pictures, please contact me first.
